GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) - Former Greenville Mayor Allen Thomas has announced that he will run for N.C. Congressional District 3.
According to a press release, Thomas is the executive director of North Carolina Global Transpark in Kinston and as a Vanceboro native, he has worked for decades to improve the lives of people across eastern North Carolina.
"I'm not running for congress. I'm running for eastern North Carolina," said Thomas during the press conference this morning.
He said he wants to see more of eastern North Carolina in our nations capital.
