GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) - A Goldsboro man has been accused of sexually assaulting a female juvenile.
Daniel R. Turnage, 18, was charged with first-degree statutory rape.
In June 2018, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office began an investigation into the sexual assault of a female juvenile.
The investigation identified Turnage as the suspect.
According to deputies, several items of evidence were processed by a private lab and as a result of those findings, Turnage was charged with first-degree statutory rape.
Deputies arrested Turnage on December 25.
He was sent to the Wayne County Magistrate’s Office under a $350,000 bond.
