JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) - - The Onslow County Sheriff's Office is warning delivery drivers to remain cautious on the job.
Last week, on two separate occasions, two separate drivers were both robbed at gunpoint at night along Sandra Lane in Midway Park.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans between 5'5 and 5'9.
Major Chris Thomas said drivers should keep aware of their surroundings and delivered a message to drivers.
"Make sure that they only produce just enough to make the change that the individual may need, in other words don't pull out a wad of cash," said Thomas.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office said they're still pursuing the case and have a number of leads they're investigating, but have not developed a suspect at this time.
If you have any information or saw something unfamiliar within the Sandra Lane neighborhood, you are encouraged to contact Detective Watkins at 910-989-4060 or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273.
We will continue to keep you updated as we learn more.
