Several arrests made after Operation Smoke Out in Duplin County

KENANSVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) - Several suspects were arrested Friday in the Duplin County area as part of Operation Smoke Out. 

The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office  they they used undercover officers and testifying witnesses to purchase illegal controlled substances.

Investigations were centered on drug dealers selling in the Duplin County area, deputies said.

Deputies said several substances including methamphetamine, prescription pills, crack cocaine and heroin were purchases.

More arrests are anticipated.

Cheryl A. McGee of Rose Hill 
Billy B. Hargrove of Rose Hill 
Malcolm L. Boney of Rose Hill 
Marcus L. Newton of Wallace 
Shelby R. Sholar of Wallace
Dayona B. Dudley (incarcerated in Duplin County)
Willie H. Road of Chinquapin
Christian A. Wells of Beulaville
Joseph M. Ray of Beulaville 
Edward R. Herring, Jr. of Pink Hill
Walter J. Jones of Pink Hill
Aaron W. Lewis of Jacksonville (incarcerated in Onslow County)
Rachel A. Lewis of Jacksonville
