VANCEBORO, N.C. (WNCT) - Three people were arrested in Craven County after a several week investigation by the Vanceboro Police Department.
Over the past few weeks, the police department became aware of check fraud. After investigating, the case lead to other jurisdictions within Pitt and Craven County where checks had been created and cashed.
On Saturday, Vanceboro Police said the case generated 72 felonies and several misdemeanors, with more possible charges from other agencies coming.
18-year-old Miasia La Trice Roberson of Vandemere, 36-year-old Latron Denise Allen of New Bern, and 20-year-old Nastassja Queeenea-Christava Green of Vanceboro were all arrested in the case.
