Man reportedly threatened New Bern gas station clerk, showed gun during argument

NEW BERN, NC (WNCT) – New Bern Police are looking for a man after her reportedly threatened a gas station clerk with a gun.

New Bern Police responded to the Lawson Park Citgo at 103 Rhem Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The gas station clerk said a customer went into the Citgo and attempted to use a credit card. When the sale was denied, he became upset and argumentative. He threatened the clerk and showed a gun.

When New Bern Police arrived, the suspect had fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a slim white male, approximately 18-21 years old, and was driving a red truck.
