Marshals arrest Kinston teen wanted on 6 attempted murder charges

KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — A Kinston teen wanted on six attempted murder charges has been arrested.

Jahnari Wade, 18, was located and arrested by members of the US Marshal Service Violent Fugitive Task Force in Raleigh.

Wade was wanted for his involvement in a shooting on Carver Courts on Saturday, according to police.

Besides the attempted murder charges, Wade is wanted on five counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, one count of assualt with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and six counts of assault by pointing a gun.

He was placed in the Wake County Detention Center under no bond.

Kinston police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. Saturday at Carver Courts Apartments.

Police reported to the scene and found Devon Brock, 21, with two gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

Brock was transported to UNC Lenoir and later transferred to Vidant Medical Center where he was treated and released.

The incident is still under investigation.
