NORTH CAROLINA (WNCT) The pandemic isn’t stopping people here in the east from observing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day. Most events are adjusting this year to reduce COVID risks while keeping Dr. Kings’ dream alive.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr day is a federal holiday marking the late civil rights leader’s birthday. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year. This year from social distancing measures to a swipe on your smartphone you’ll still be able to remember the dream.
