N.C. House candidate in Dare Co. taken to Va. hospital

MANTEO, N.C. (WNCT) – A Dare County candidate for N.C. House of Representatives has been taken to a Norfolk hospital.

A post on Warren Judge’s campaign Facebook page said he “fell ill and was transported to a Virginia hospital where he is undergoing tests and treatment.”

A Sentara Norfolk General Hospital employee confirmed Judge was a patient in their heart hospital.

Judge, a Dare County commissioner, is running as a Democrat against Commissioner Beverly Boswell, a Republican.

The winner will replace Rep. Paul Tine, who decided not to run for reelection
