One person is dead following drowning call at Myrtle Beach motel

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach Police said one person died at a hospital after a possible drowning at a hotel on Wednesday.

According to MBPD Cpl. Thomas Vest, officers were called to a possible drowning at the Sand Dollar Motel, located at 401 6th Avenue North. One person was taken to the hospital.

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said that person later died at the hospital.

Details on that person’s identity have not yet been released.
