GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Many folks are getting a first look at damages to their homes this week.
One company brought its catastrophe mobile claims unit to Greenville to help people settle insurance claims in the Hurricane Matthew’s aftermath, quickly and locally.
Its hope is that insurance adjusters can get out to people’s homes as fast as possible.
“We’re seeing claims all the way from Jacksonville up to Virginia Beach, so we’re doing what we can to spread our resources to the impacted areas and help put lives back together as quickly as we can,” said Jim Gadberry, Nationwide Insurance, Associate VP of Claims for North Carolina.
Gadberry said to make sure you have your policy number handy if you do have any questions, as well as any pictures and paperwork you were able to safely retrieve.
Nationwide will also hand out packages of water and t-shirts to those in need.
