Epic Games, the Cary video game company behind titles such as Fortnite, Infinity Blade and Gears of War, has an “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau, according to a news release from the organization.

The company earned the rating due to unanswered customer complaints, the release said. Epic has 279 BBB complaints that have been filed in the past three years — 271 of those were filed just in the last year.

Of those 279 complaints, 247 were never answered.

Epic’s titles are some of the most popular in the world.

Despite their popularity, they’re not very responsive to their customers, according to the BBB.

A majority of the complaints submitted against Epic Games deal with customer service and refund or exchange issues, according to the release.

The release states that one complainant wrote, “Epic Games failed to protect customer security, resulting in several unsanctioned charges over mine and my partner’s account.” Another complainant said that, “There is no phone number or proper email response time to return my unauthorized charge of $160. Nobody will answer, and I feel cheated.”

The BBB has reached out to Epic Games multiple times, but the company has not responded once, the release says.
