New Bern man accused of stealing money box from Girl Scouts


A New Bern man was arrested Monday after police said he stole a money box from the Girl Scouts.

The New Bern Police Department responded to Walmart on 3105 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in reference to a larceny reported on January 27 around 2:47 p.m.

Police arrived on the scene and said the victim reported that an unknown man stole a money box containing an undisclosed amount of money from the Girl Scouts of America.

A warrant was issued for Paul T. Force, 38, of New Bern.

Force was arrested on Monday and charged with larceny.

He was given a $5,000 bond.
