Orange County, N.C. Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged a man with child sex crimes after he allegedly molested two girls during a child’s sleepover.

Marcus Delamez Moore, 36, was arrested on Saturday and charged with three counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts of sexual battery, according to a news release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

A girl reported “concerns” to her mother after coming back from a sleepover at a friend’s home, the news release said.

Officials said that a second victim was also identified.

When deputies spoke to the family who hosted the sleepover, they learned a girl “reported experiencing criminal activity similar” to the first victim, officials said.

Moore is being held in the Orange County Detention Center under an initial $50,000 secured bond. After a second victim was identified, bond was increased to $80,000.

Moore had a first appearance in court in Hillsborough Monday afternoon. His next court date is planned for April 22.
