A private minivan for school transportation was carrying two young children when the driver crashed into a Raleigh home on Monday afternoon, police said.
The vehicle had two children, ages 2 and 5, aboard. It ran into a home at Hargett and Swain streets, according to Raleigh police.
There were three people in the van, including the driver.
Police said that no one was injured. Earlier reports that they were taken to a hospital were incorrect, officials said.
The parents of the children came to the scene to pick them up.
The preliminary investigation leads police to believe the driver became distracted and drove through a fence and hit the home, officials said.
The vehicle was coming from Olds Elementary and the minivan was being driven for CMC Transportation.
