OCSO: Jacksonville man arrested after fight leads to stabbing

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office says a Jacksonville man faces assault charges after stabbing another man during a fight.

The Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the stabbing on Feb. 3rd.

Investigators say 48-year-old James Clark and another man got were fighting when Clark pulled out a knife. Deputies say Clark then stabbed the victim in the face. The victim was transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital in injuries to his lip and chin. . The Sheriff’s Office says the victim is expected to recover.

Deputies arrested Clark on Feb. 4th.

Clark is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill/Inflicting Serious Injury and Possession of a Controlled Substance on Jail Premises.

He was given a $40,000 bond.
