A man involved in an armed robbery reported in Nash County was arrested Thursday in Greensboro, officials said.
Emmanuel Morris was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon and firearm by a felon.
Shiquetta Smith was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon.
The Nash County Criminal Investigative Division responded to an armed robbery reported at Four Points grocery in Nashville on December 12.
An investigation identified Morris as a suspect.
Several attempts were made to locate Morris.
On January 3, deputies received information that Morris was possibly in Greensboro.
The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office along with the Greensboro Police Department was called to assist with the case.
Morris was located at a local Walmart and taken into custody without incident.
Morris was in the company of Smith.
According to officials, Morris and Smith were driving a stolen vehicle when they were taken into custody.
The vehicle was reported stolen on December 31 by the Rocky Mount Police Department.
Officials said they found a firearm located inside the vehicle.
The investigation is still ongoing and more charges are expected.
