HYDE COUNTY (WNCT) –
It’s Christmas time in Hyde County!
From 5 PM to 9 PM Swan Quarter turned itself into a winter wonderland, celebrating the community and the holiday season.
The event featured food, a parade, vendors, and even a visit from Santa Claus himself!
Children had the opportunity to play on bouncy houses, write letters to Santa, make reindeer food out of oats and sprinkles, and meet Santa too.
Mattie Arts & Visitor Center is in the middle of Swan Quarter’s town, and hosted the event.
Local artists and other arts and crafts were featured at the Swan Quarter Volunteer Fire Department. Food was also available there as well.
During the festive events the center stayed open from 9 AM to 9 PM.
