Open discussion on dating abuse held in Greenville

A public discussion on the warning signs and dangers of dating abuse and domestic violence was held Tuesday night at a Greenville church.

The Eyes Wide Open” event at Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church was held to educate the community about the signs of domestic violence and inform attendees about resources available to help.

Jan and Ron Kimble were the guest speakers at the event.

The couple’s daughter, Jamie, was killed in 2012 by her abusive boyfriend, following a tumultuous, seven-year relationship.

31-year-old Jamie was a graduate of J.H. Rose High School and UNC Chapel Hill.
