Outage, boil water advisory expected for some ONWASA customers


SNEADS FERRY, N.C. (WNCT) – Residents in some parts of Onslow County may experience an outage in water service on Wednesday.

According to the Onslow Water & Sewer Authority, consumers on Cedar Hollow Lane, Yaupon Court, Paradise Court, Bent Tree Lane, Dolphin Lane, and Martin Lane in the Sneads Ferry area may be affected.

The disruption in water service is expected between the hours of 9am and 4pm on Wednesday.

ONWASA crews are installing a valve and blow off unit.

Once water pressure is restored, the affected consumers will be under a boil water advisory.

It is recommended for these affected consumers to boil all water used for human consumption or use bottled water.

There is no need to boil water used for showering or bathing.
