Pedestrian seriously injured in hit and run


GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – The Greenville Police Department is investigating an early morning hit and run in Greenville that seriously injured a pedestrian.

Just after 1 a.m., Greenville police responded to E. Arlington Boulevard and Wall Street. 26-year-old Marlon Lamont McMillian was walking on the sidewalk with a friend when a black SUV with tinted windows jumped the curb and struck McMillian.

After the collision, the SUV sped away and continued northwest down East Arlington Boulevard.

McMillian was transported to Vidant Medical Center with serious injuries. As of Sunday, he remained hospitalized.

GPD is asking anyone with information about the driver to contact the Greenville Police Department at (252) 329-4300.
