Pinwheel Gardens bring awareness to child abuse

All this month, people are trying to bring awareness to child abuse.

In Ayden, the police department has a pinwheel for prevention garden set up.

They do this every year; the pinwheels represent the bright future for all children.

Ayden PD Corporal Jenny Clark says abuse is hidden a lot of times and the more people know, the better chance there is to end it.

Clark adds, “We’re very passionate about keeping our children safe, and that they know the police officers are their friends and if they’re in trouble, we’re here to help them.”

Communities have been doing the pinwheel gardens since 2008.
