Pitt County Board of Elections finishes recounts for two 2016 races

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT)- The Pitt County Board of Elections has finished recounting ballots for the State Auditor’s race and NC House District 8 race.STATE AUDITORChuck Stuber – 33,342 (lost 1 vote)Beth A. Wood – 43,520 (gained 2 votes)

For State Auditor, Republican Chuck Stuber ended up 10,000 votes behind Democrat Beth Wood.NC HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISTRICT 8Susan Martin – 8,512 (gained 1 vote)Charlie Pat Farris – 8,981 (no change)

In the District 8 House Race, Republican incumbent Susan Martin ended up trailing her Democratic challenger Charlies Farris by less than 500 votes.

The State Board of Elections hopes to finalize both races by Friday.
