Pitt County man charged with child sex crimes; bond set at $2 million

A Pitt County man is in jail on a $2 million bond on charges of child sex crimes.

Pitt County Sheriff’s Office detectives recently began an investigation into alleged sex crimes involving a minor child victim.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Daniel Lee Wilson, age 34, of Pitt County, and charged him with the following counts:

1 felony count of Statutory Rape of a Child Under the Age of 15.

1 felony count of Statutory Sexual Offense with Child.

1 felony count of Incest of a Child.

Wilson appeared in Pitt County Magistrate Court, where his bond was set at $2,000,000.

He is being held at the Pitt County Detention Center,

Wilson is also being held on a separate $65,000 bond on unrelated charges of misdemeanor Driving While Impaired and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance on a Jail or Prison Premises.
