Police: Bicyclist hit by car, driver to face charges

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Greenville police say a man was hit by a car while riding his bike near the intersection of Evans and Arlington, Thursday night.

Police say the man was hit while traveling south on Evans Street as the car was trying to make a left turn on Arlington Boulevard.

Lieutenant Carlton Williams tells WNCT, the driver has been charged with failure to yield since the man on the bike had the right away.

The bicyclist was transported to Vidant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

No word yet on his condition.
