GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The conversion from a football field to concert venue is under at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Crews began setting up Monday for Saturday’s Eric Church concert. They started laying down 70,000 sq.ft. of flooring to prepare for the stage.
Preparations will take all week.
ECU’s Associate Athletic Director J.J. McLamb said this is just the first step to an awesome night ahead, “This is another football game from a staffing standpoint. It gives us, actually, a test run to make sure everything’s ready for football season, as we are preparing for that, So we’re just hoping that everything goes off without a hitch.”
20,000 tickets have already been sold but they are expecting close to 30,000 in the stands Saturday night.
