A former office manager with Progenix, who declined to speak on camera, worked for the company for two years before it suddenly closed on March 29.
A letter was sent to nearly 250 Progenix patients.
It directs patients to another health facility in Wilmington and Goldsboro, with a $500 fee waived.
Patients and staff said they were upset, but also confused by the closure.
Now the Greenville office will reopen under new management and a new name.
Progenix was taken over by Doctor Chris Lacroix and owner Keith Styron and is now called Viva Med.
The money will come from the doctor and owners’ pockets.
WNCT’s Amber Joseph reached out to William Lam, the owner of Progenix, for a comment about the closure and what lead up to it.
He did not return the call.
Meanwhile, as Viva Med moves forward, their goal is to continue providing life-changing services to its patients.
