GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – JH Rose scored a pair of runs on wild pitches and held off Fuquay-Varina 2-1 in the 3rd round of the NCHSAA state playoffs Thursday night at Guy Smith Stadium.
Gray MacKenzie and Matt Burne combined on a two-hitter in the win. Fuquay held the Rampants to just one hit in the game.
The Rampants will have a quick turnaround, having to travel to Green Hope tomorrow night for their 4th round game.
