GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT)- Pitt County Sheriff’s Office arrested a registered sex offender after deputies say he entered onto school property.

Gregory Nicholson, 42, was arrested on a probation violation. Nicholson’s electronic monitoring bracelet alerted his probation officer he was on the school grounds of South Greenville Elementary School.

Nicholson also failed to update his new address information for the registry, in person, to the Sheriff of Pitt County within three business days as required by law.

He is placed under a $50,000 secured bond.
