Sneads Ferry man, North Topsail Beach woman facing heroin charges

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A Sneads Ferry man and North Topsail Beach woman are accused of selling heroin from an area motel.

Deputies arrested 24-year-old Michael Jacob Rochelle 27-year-old Charlie Kristina Garten on Friday after the execution of a search warrant at the Triangle Motor Inn. That search uncovered 209 individual doses of heroin, a quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $560 cash. The pair had been under investigation for some time.

Rochelle was taken before the magistrate and charged with Trafficking Heroin, Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Heroin, Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substance, Manufacture Heroin, Conspire to Sell Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He’s at the Onslow County Jail under a $2,000,000 secured bond.

Garten was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Heroin, Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substance, Manufacture Heroin, Conspire to Sell Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was placed under a $500,000 secured bond.

The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office said that additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
