GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges is in Greenville this week hoping to target businesses, industries and job creation in eastern North Carolina.
The 21-member board met Wednesday along with local leaders where they discussed the continued asset of Pitt Community College and the role it plays in the business and industry sector.
During the event, the N.C. Community Colleges president spoke on his focus for a well-prepared workforce.
“Our response is driven by what commerce does and when they bring jobs to this area, then we’re ready to go,” said Williamson. “We deploy our network to make that happen.”
On Thursday, members of the board will visit PCC to tour the Taste of the Industry program.
