TARBORO, N.C. (WNCT) — Tarboro Police arrested the third and final suspect in a robbery at Brown’s Grocery.

Police arrested Adrian Knight, 18, at a residence in Tarboro without incident on Nov. 11th.

Investigators say on November 2, just before 8 p.m., two men attempted to break into the store. Clerks were able to lock the door to prevent entry but then heard gunshots nearby.

K9 officers located evidence to link three people to crime. November 3, two suspects turned themselves in. Javonti White, 17, and Edaun Pettaway, 17, were charged with: Attempted Armed Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon; Discharging a Weapon into Occupied Property; Going Armed to the Terror of the Public; Pattern Gang Activity; and Discharging a Weapon in Town Limits.

Knight was taken to the Edgecombe County Detention Center and given a $750,000.
