The town of Atlantic Beach is bringing back their annual Beach Music Festival with a week-long of events.
Monday kicked-off their first Beach Music Week. People can find a wide range of events during the week of May 13.
The events leading up to the music festival on Saturday, May 18.
The town said it’s the biggest one yet.
“Beach music is part of the Atlantic Beach history as well as the Shag dance that accompanies beach music and it was the dream of our town councilmen to bring awareness to the historical element that we have here,” said Morgan Kerns, director of recreation, communications, and special events for Atlantic Beach.
The festival is from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at 115 Atlantic Boulevard.
Admission is free and shuttle services will be provided from Carteret Community College, DoubleTree, and Crow’s Nest Shopping Center.
