GREENVILLE, NC (WNCT) – Good news for Girl Scout Cookie lovers: the cookies are now on sale.

This year, girl scouts are going high-tech, as you can now order your cookies with the touch of your finger. Digital Cookie 2.0 allows Girl Scouts to sell cookies through their personalized cookie website.

For the second year, scouts can use the app. It allows Girl Scouts to track their goals, manage cookie activities, and even accept orders on the go.

Krista Park, Girl Scout Communication and Public Relations Director, says the tool is a great way for the girls to expand their cookie selling.

“It provides just one more platform if you will or one more way that girls can reach more customers, perhaps reach out to family and friends who aren’t in that local area.”

Something to note this year — Girl Scouts of North Carolina Coastal Pines is raising their cookie prices from $3.50 a box to $4.00.

Most say the cookies are well worth the price increase, especially since the money goes towards service projects, learning experiences, and travel opportunities for the Girl Scouts.
