A van stopped at a stop sign but didn’t see the tractor-trailor coming and pulled out in front of the tractor trailer traveling southbound along S. NC 41, Trooper Turner said.

After hitting with the van, the truck ran into a mobile home, officials said.

The 6 people in the van were taken to the hospital, they have non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the van, Alexis Bernal has been charged with failure to yield.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Ashlin Judge, was not injured and is not facing any charges.

There were two people inside the mobile home at the time of the accident, neither were injured during the incident, Turner said.
