Two men arrested in connection to Bertie County birthday party shooting

Deputies have arrested two men wanted in connection to a fatal shooting at a birthday party in Midway on January.

The Bertie County Sheriff John Holley said that Jashawn Brown was wanted on a murder charge.

The warrants stem from the fatal shooting of Rayshon Carter at a birthday party in Midway.

The Sheriff’s Office said Brown is a Bloods gang member and has prior convictions for violent crimes.

Deputies along with the NC SBI Task Force and the Greensboro Police Department Violent Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Brown in Greensboro.

Tywan Outlaw was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to the murder.

Two men are wanted in connection to a fatal shooting at a birthday party in Midway Sunday.

The Bertie County Sheriff’s Office has a warrant out for Jashawn De’Andre Brown on a murder charge. They are also looking for Tywan Jonshea’ Outlaw, also known as “Too-da-loo,” on a charge of accessory after the fact.

The Sheriff’s Office said Brown is a Bloods gang member and has prior convictions for violent crimes.

In addition to the warrant for murder, the Sheriff’s Office said Brown has outstanding warrants for failure to appear on the charges of PWISD marijuana and assault by pointing a gun. 

Brown is to be considered armed and dangerous at all times and to be approached with extreme caution, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Bertie County Sheriff John Holley said the investigation, in partnership with the SBI, is ongoing.
