A van catches fire on an Eastern North Carolina bridge. 

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says they received a call about a car on fire just before 9p.m. on Tuesday.

The Grimesland Fire Department tells 9 On Your Side the van caught fire while on the Grimesland Bridge. 

Fire crews from Grimesland and Clarks Neck were able to put out the fire quickly. 

Troopers say traffic was backed up awhile while firefighters put the fire out. 

No one was hurt during the incident.
