NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – If you’re looking for a bit more relaxed New Year’s Eve, some waterfront businesses in New Bern could be just what you’re looking for.
While there won’t be any large New Year’s celebration, Persimmons Waterfront Restaurant will be premiering their brand new featured menu and executive chef.
They say 2015 has been a tough year for them economically, but believe the motto “out with the old and in with the new” may help them going into the new year.
“To start of 2016 on a great note, and really bring the restaurant to its full potential with the food, with the service, with the whole experience,” said Dean Quadir, the general manager, of their new goal.
For the new executive chef, Antonio Campolio, he says, “Not that Persimmons is changing, but we’re definitely changing if you know what I mean. I think Persimmons has done a good job in the past of being true to a farm table concept we’re reaching for the stars now.”
The average price of an entrée at the restaurant will range from 25 to 35 dollars and as long as the rain holds off they will be opening their patio dining on New Year’s Eve.
