MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) – Students and teachers at West Carteret High School were celebrating big accomplishments Friday.
They are one of 19 traditional public high school’s in the entire state to be worthy of an A+ score.
They are also one of only six high schools in the state to reach the perfect 100 percent growth mark, indicating that each and every student learns far more than predicted for a class.
“Quality students, quality parents, quality teachers. I constantly say that because that’s what makes it, so i’m just really proud to be a part of it, proud to be the principal of such a fine school,” said Principal Carolyn Heller.
The students and staff celebrated by having free snacks, snow cones, a DJ, games and a parade on the football field in honor of their excellent accomplishments.
