Greenville, N.C. (WNCT) - Greenville, N.C. (WNCT) - Greenville, N.C. (WNCT) - GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) WNCT 9 On Your Side is partnering with the Children’s Home Society of North Carolina for an adoption series we’re calling "A Loving Home."
In this episode, we're sharing a success story of two young girls who needed a forever family.
Meet Joshua and Sara Golden. Since the beginning of their marriage they always knew that they would adopt one day.
"We just got to the point where we said let's just do it, because if we keep holding off and talking about it, we know we want to, lets just do it," says Joshua.
The Goldens' already have to biological boys, Max and Gage.
A few days after they became licensed to foster and adopt, they received the referral for Katelyn and Jazlyn.
Joshua and his wife Sara received a text message with the two young girls photo, and they knew right away these girls were theirs.
"And when I got the picture...You knew God chose them for us, and the whole journey you go through, it's worth it, " expresses Joshua.
There's little Jazlyn who is 4 years old now. Her adoptive parents say she's constantly smiling, and always moving, a ball of energy.
"But she does everything hard. So she plays hard, she loves hard, she cries hard, but she is just passionate about everything. If she's doing something, it's 110%," explains Joshua.
Her older sister Katelyn is 9 years old and she's described as being very smart and sweet.
The Goldens say they are determined to keep the girls active, show them love and constant support.
"I would definitely encourage anyone who is thinking about it, to do it, just do it, just do your research, and go to the classes, and if you decide it's not for you, then you still learned so much, from the classes to the process," says Sara.
