Greensboro, N.C.(WNCT) - Tommy is 7 years old, and he is a curious, active young boy with a big imagination. WNCT's Angie Quezada visited the Children's Museum in Greensboro with Tommy, and had the chance to explore.
Karen Gettman has been working with Tommy for a little over a year.
"Tommy would bring just a joyful chemistry and charisma of a 7 year old. I mean he is just so fun and like I said, he’s just so full of questions and inquisitive and he likes to take things apart, and he likes to know what’s happening," she says.
Tommy loves action figures, and says he hopes to become a modern day hero himself, as a cop!
"For a little guy, he's had a rough start. A really, really rough start, anad any family that is lucky enough to have him will need to understand that," explains Gettman.
"Family keeps you safe," Tommy adds.
Tommy's ideal family would be a two parent home, with older siblings.
”I know that tommy thrives in a home with stability, predictability, he needs to know what’s coming, what’s happening, and a lot of structure, and just a lot of love, " says Gettman.
One thing is for sure, if given the chance at a loving home, he'll be a great addition to a family ready to love.
