MANTEO, N.C. (WNCT, WNCN) — An actress from shows like ‘The Chi’ and ‘The Wire’ spent time behind bars over the weekend at the Outer Banks.

According to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 12:02 a.m. Sunday, near the Washington Baum Bridge in Manteo.

Investigators say a police K-9 alerted on the vehicle for the odor of illegal drugs and deputies then searched the vehicle.

Inside the vehicle, deputies found an unspecified amount of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle was issued citations for expired registration and driving while license revoked, and was released.

The passenger, Sonja Denise Plack, AKA: Sonja Sohn, age 55, was arrested on charges of Felony Possession of Cocaine, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies say Plack was placed in the Dare County Detention Center on a $1,500 bond, which she then posted, allowing her to be released.

Plack has a court date set for Tuesday.
