A woman accused of fatally stabbing a man in Hubert in April is back in Onslow County to face murder charges after a police chase in Alabama.
Saundra Wagner is charged with the murder of James Pannoni, who was found stabbed to death in his home in Hubert during a welfare check in April.
Pannoni’s vehicle was found a mile away from his home.
Authorities say Wagner left the state after the killing and was captured in Alabama after a high-speed chase.
Investigators say Wagner and Pannoni were in a relationship and lived together a few months before the fatal stabbing.
