Man arrested after investigation into illegal narcotics activity in Williamston

A man has been arrested after an investigation into illegal narcotics activity in Williamston.

During the past month, the Martin County Narcotics Unit has received numerous complaints from citizens regarding illegal narcotics activity in the area of 1036 Clayton Court in Williamston.

Due to the complaints, officials conducted a surveillance operation on Monday.

As a result of the surveillance, a search warrant was issued and subsequently executed at 1036 Clayton Court.  

During the search of the residence, officials said they found $13,988, 5.2 ounces of marijuana, 19.4 grams of THC wax, 38 THC vape cartridges and a .45 caliber handgun.

Curtis A. Moore was arrested and charged with sell or deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to keep or store controlled substances.

He received a $10,000 bond.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the Williamston Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assisted with the case.
