A Martin County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for stabbing a man to death three years ago.
Travis Lamont Davenport was convicted on Friday of fatally stabbing Michael Griffin in January 2016 at his home on Melbourn Avenue in Williamston.
District Attorney Seth Edwards says the two were involved in an on-and-off relationship.
The state says Davenport also stole money from Griffin after killing him.
Griffin’s body was found in his home after he missed a scheduled dialysis treatment.
