One person injured, two others arrested after Kinston shooting

A shooting in Kinston leaves one person injured and two others in jail and facing multiple charges.

The Kinston Police Department says they received a call for shots fired Friday at W Caswell St near N Herritage St.

Lenoir County Deputies were near the scene and were able to determine two cars were involved in the shooting.

Deputies stopped a silver Chrysler 300 as it was fleeing the scene.

In the car were 42-year-old Jeffrey Donell Sutton and 21-year-old Jeffrey Donell Sutton Jr.

A second car was found at UNC Lenoir with a victim being dropped off for a possible gunshot wound.

Both Sutton's are facing two counts of attempted murder and weapons charges.

Police say this was a targeted incident and the parties involved were familiar with each other.

Sutton Jr. is in jail under a 1,000,000 dollar secure bond.

Sutton is being held under a 1,200,000 dollar secure bond.

The Kinston Police Department says the investigation is ongoing.
