Police investigating shots fired at two homes in Elizabeth City

Elizabeth City Police are investigating who fired shots at two homes on Wednesday night.

Police say at 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots fired in the area of Godwin Avenue and A Street.

At the scene, officers found two homes hit by stray bullets and also found several shell casings in the area.

No one was injured.

Investigators have not released any details on possible suspects at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
