The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men on various firearms and drug charges after shooting a house with a child inside in Jacksonville.
Phillip A. Rogers, 21, was charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and discharging, conspiracy to discharge a firearm into an occupied dwelling and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
Taliesin G. Beaufort-Jimenez, 19, was charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, conspiracy to discharge a firearm into an occupied dwelling, discharging firearm within 500 of a dwelling, going armed to the terror of the public, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver controlled substances, maintaining a dwelling to keep and use controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports related to several shots fired in a residence located on McGinity Court, Midway Park in Jacksonville on Saturday.
Several people, including a small child, were inside the house at the moment of the incident, deputies said.
Deputies said Rogers and Beaufort were identified as potential suspects.
After an investigation was made the two men were arrested.
Rogers was given a $50,000 bond and Beaufort a $56,000 bond.
Both men were sent to the Onslow County Detention Center.
