COLUMBIA, N.C. (WNCT) – Tyrrell County Schools Board of Education voted to make masks optional for staff and students in grades K-12.

At yesterday’s meeting, the Tyrrell County Schools Board of Education voted to make masks optional for all students and staff, K-12.

Also on Tuesday, Washington County Schools announced masks will be required on buses and while in school for students and staff. The decision was made after the Washington County School board voted to place a mask mandate.
