CLEARWATER, FL (WNCT) – The East Carolina Pirates take the field for their first matchup in this year’s American Athletic Conference tournament Tuesday May 21st. The competition takes place at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Florida. The team is vying for another AAC Conference tournament title. The Pirates (42-13) will open the championships against No.8 seed Wichita State (26-29). First pitch is scheduled for about 12:30 p.m. The game will be streamed on the American Digital Network. 

Today, Fifth-year head coach Cliff Godwin received top honors as the American Athletic Conference Coach-of-the-Year. The Pirates also celebrated ECU junior Jake Agnos, named Pitcher-of-the-Year in a league office announcement Monday afternoon.
